BIGGEST SHAFT AWARD...

...goes to me because CBS did not show the bleach drinking incident.

Other raw deals:
1.  Mike.  Awful Sophia gets TWO gold stars and he gets none?  Garbage.  And don't just think I'm biased because you don't see me advocating a Colton gold star.
2.  Me again, for being so badly let down by Michael and DK. I used to love those guys and now they are the biggest pansies.  "My legs hurt!"  More like he didn't want the pressure of deciding three gold stars (you saw how much trouble he had with one early in the show) so he was trying to throw the challenge.  And Michael. "We can't build the tables because we don't have How-To books because we didn't pick the library"?!?!?  Have you forgotten that you have McGyver/Greg?  WTF.
3.  Migle.  When Sophia and Morgan got stars, everyone was like, cool, I get it.  But when they said Migle's name, everyone (her mom especially) was in absolute shock.  Talk about no one believing in you!  Fortunately, $50k should soften the blow.

I think I agree with your assessments. Perhaps Sophia had a good work ethic, but she was also a snob and offered nothing else constructive. Greg, for all his jerkiness at times, was a hard worker, stepped up as a friend when needed, and even showed growth in recognizing his failings and trying to amend them. It's a shame he was on the council.

I also think Mike probably deserved one and probably never should have been removed from the council. I just think his character rubbed people the wrong way unintentionally. It took me most of the series to warm up to him.

I think the problem with the Migle choice comes primarily from the fact that we saw her only 3 times (I think). She was featured first mid-season in 'Paris and Nicole' mode, and then two separate 2 minute scenes toward the end in 'redeemed' mode. The rest of the time, she was just one of the random bios on the KN website.

I warmed up to Mike when Guylan was going on about how Nathan is such a hard worker and Mike was like, "all he does is haul water....just stating the facts." Since then I've been ok with him.

Migle was awesome! Bringing the hotness.

Mike does rub people the wrong way and never really did anything but provide entertaining reactions.

Blaine was the best...

Sophia met the "criteria" given by the producers for the first 2 stars. Migle was the "council's choice" and she whored it up for the boys....

I think the producers only noticed towards the end of the season that Migle had been flirtin' with the all-male council folk and was in for a chance with the gold star. Hence, their super-quick "Lets show Migle in a nice light for 3 minutes each episode" turnaround.

Well, the producers just showed it like Sophia laid the smack down and Morgan was the nice girl. I totally wanted to see Hunter get it, just to see his family's reaction again. He seemed so sweet.

I would have also liked to see more of the goodbyes. Come on! These kids are MY family too! This is the only place I feel like I really belong. That is, until season two is released. Will it still be Bonanza City then? Or will they make up another wicked name for another falsified town? (Hopefully one with a better fake history and without the journal) Can we have some suggestions for names of said town?

Good ending to a good show. And your blog made it that much better. Thanks for making me laugh. I hope you will still be doing this for season 2!
Migle was a good choice for the super gold star and she was definitely bringing the hotness, as someone on here said. She needed to put on a shirt, I was thinking, is it getting hot in here or is it just me?
